Nothing is more important than your health, safety and peace of mind when making plans to travel, and we’re here to help when the time is right. Our City and State have made a pledge to reopen responsibly, providing safe conditions that protect both employees, and future visitors like you.

Understandably, you might be thinking hard about making plans to travel. In Memphis, we're doing a lot of thinking, too. We’ve also been working hard to implement our community’s Back to Business Framework that is guiding our attractions, hotels and world-famous restaurants in their day to day operations, with health and safety as the number one priority.

As of today, Memphis attractions, museums and restaurants are starting to, or are making plans to re-open, but with new safety protocols in place. Restaurants under our current phased reopening plan can seat 50% of capacity, and employees are required to wear masks and gloves. Attractions are limiting capacity to allow for social distancing and requiring masks to be worn by both employees and the public, in compliance with a City of Memphis ordinance for wearing masks in public spaces.

Memphis is an easy drive no matter your area code, and affordable with great deals to be had by visitors. You can also explore a versatile outdoor destination that has something for everyone. In a city best known for its music and food, you can take a stroll down Beale Street, or cross the mighty Mississippi on foot or by bike via the Big River Crossing. Visit the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid and step out onto the glass observation deck for panoramic views. Ride bikes around town, taking advantage of the Shelby Farms Greenline to travel through neighborhoods like the Broad Avenue Arts District, to an urban oasis, Shelby Farms Park, home to the St. Jude Ironman 70.3 Memphis Triathlon. Or explore the Wolf River Greenway, which now boasts 10 miles of tree-covered trails and will soon link 853 acres of Memphis. Be sure to explore Mud Island River Park where kayak rentals are available, or let your Captain pilot an adventure on a real riverboat ride.

As you prepare to hit the road, check out this list to see which of your Must-See Memphis spots are open, and subscribe to our e-newsletter to be notified of updates. Whether we're many miles apart or just 10 feet off Beale, you can also connect with us on social media via Facebook, Instagram & Twitter.

We 've been weathering the blues for more than 200 years. Most importantly, we're all in this together. When you decide when the time is right, know that we've been here taking care of business, so when you're ready to visit, our song will lead the way.
