Our Story

Owner, William Foshee began to make his mark in the food and service industry at a young age and has been striving to share his passion for the business ever since. At just 15 years old, he worked at his parent's restaurant on Lake Sinclair. He later moved on to work at several other local restaurants, became the Catering Director for Museum of Aviation, started his own catering company, worked as a chef for the Golf Club at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee, and then ventured up to Roswell, GA where he became the Chef de Cuisine for a well renowned catering company, Talk of the Town. Life eventually led William back to good ole Macon, Ga where he worked with Kudzu Catering for a couple of years before finally assuming ownership in August. William has been very fortunate to experience a smooth transition thus far with the support of previous owners of Kudzu Catering, Lee Clack and Kelley Wrigley, and is thrilled to announce the company’s new name as Cast Iron Catering!

William’s passion in cooking is his remarkable barbeque and southern-style tapas, though he prides himself on offering a wide variety of exciting food items and recipes for his clients to enjoy.

Since 2017

William Foshee assumed ownership of Kudzu Catering in August, 2017. Although he may be a new business owner, he certainly isn’t new to the service industry.

Our Chefs

Cast Iron Catering brings to the table a strong and talented culinary staff who are all eager to add a new flare to the catering scene here in Macon! William has had to pleasure of working with, for and alongside all 3 chefs over the years.

Chef Mark Samples – Mark and William hit the ground running at Talk of the Town in Roswell and skipped a beat since. Their outgoing personalities, off-the-wall ideas, and constant desire to create new recipes can truly make for an amazing evening! Mark will be assuming the position of Chief Operations Director and is excited to move from the big city to our home-grown Macon community.

Chef Mike Vinson – Throwing it way back to the Rajun Cajun days on Lake Sinclair, Pig in a Pit, Museum of Aviation and Catered Creations, William and Mike have been through the culinary ringer together for over a decade and are once again back in action. Mike has a strong background in the banquet and fine dining arena, as well as an inspirational creativity to conquering the taste buds.
